The Importance of Crime Reporting

What does it mean to be a ‘Bystander’?

This month we received an interesting article from ‘Neighbourhood Watch’ regarding the issues surrounding under-reported crimes and the role of a ‘bystander’. Crime reporting is so important to help keep you and your community safe and your first port of call should always be the police. For non-urgent situations, call 101 or log a police incident on the police website: https://www.leics.police.uk/. An emergency or risk to life situation, you should always call 999.

Crime reporting can help the police build a bigger picture of what it going. Smaller crimes that you see or witness may be connected to something bigger that the police are investigating, so every little helps.

Please read the article below to find out more about crime and how you can help in your community.
